"What do you give a wife who has everything?...An injection of insulin."
Dark, creepy, fascinating and funny, Reversal of Fortune is probably by favorite film of 1990. Up there with The Grifters and Goodfellas. Strange though...I can’t stand Ron Silver, and I’m not too crazy about Alan Dershowitz, but he made for a really solid center for the movie.

Can’t say much for the movie after twenty years, but I still have something of a crush on Patricia Tallman’s character in the NotLD remake.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show on is actually my New Year’s movie. For the last fifteen years or so I’ve made it a point of having it be the first thing I watch on January 1. Usually within an hour or so after midnight, I put it on and watch. (the closest thing I have to a ritual or tradition, I guess)
I still remember the first time I rented it. I was in high school, and the woman who owned the video store was leery about whether or not she should let me take it out. The only time that happened...well, with her anyway.

"Quigley Down Under" is a good underrated western film with Tom Selleck, Laura San Giacomo and Alan Rickman. I disagree with "Siskel & Ebert". "White Palace" is another good film.

"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" became a midnight show sensation. I remember this film was played every midnight at the now demolished Northridge Cinemas. It’s a fun movie, I saw it recently on Fox Movie Channel.

BTW, didn’t they gave "Two Thumbs Down" to the "Night of the Living Dead" remake? Not a bad remake but it could of been better. The original was a classic.

Hey First, I really hope you have next weeks special Silent Classics. I had never heard of it before viewing this episode and would love to see that one.

If the Rocky Horror Picture Show was a flop, how come it made 115 million dollars? Most flops don’t make that much money (especially back in 1975).

I rephares what I said. Rocky Horror Picture Show did flop it just gained an audience overtime and made back it’s money.

RHPS is one of my favorite movies. However, I think that’s because I was first introduced to it at a midnight showing with audience participation (and returned almost religiously every weekend over 500 times). But watching it on video is completely different. On video, without the audience, I’d rate it a 7/10. In a theater with the active audience, a solid 10.
