The comment about how he got a call from someone asking for a recommendation and then the guy said " Oh, that doesn’t sound like something I want to see" is both hilarious and depressing.

I never seen this before and I loved it. I bought his "Book on Film" when it was new. Thousands of books on film, I have like a hundred, I am so jealous.

I agree with what he says about "event" films, I feel much the same way, I love good trash. I love that Pauline Kael quote.

I also like two many films.
