I never saw any of these movies except Q which I saw at the theater. Q was a dog and a waste of money!

I recall in an interview once, how Roger put it together that Gene’s wife was expecting, when he started to like smaltzy films like Table for Five. This must have been around the same time as this taping.

Hmm... "Dueling Critics"... Great title for a great episode of a great show, I could use that in my upcoming video (and it’s on this site): "Top 10 Dueling Witches Scenes" where I picked clips of Sabrina’s aunts Hilda and Zelda having what one or the other wants Sabrina what to do, or not to do. And it’s only from "Sabrina: The Animated Series". Still. Great episode! Love it! 10/10.

I love the RCA commercial at 12:42, about "changing the shape of television." Ironically, in the transitional bits where they show a screen without a console around it, it looks more like today’s television than what RCA proceeds to show us.

I the Jury seems like such an odd choice. It wasn’t even (to be my knowledge) a show that they reviewed on At the Movies 1982. I believe it something they reviewed on sneak previews.

I will just post what I posted on the IMDB board for the movie "Best Friends" with the subject line "Emptied the theater on Christmas Day"
Ominous subject line, I know...
But on Christmas Day 1982 my 2 best friends (Jewish twins) asked if I wanted to go to the movies with them, and with some reluctance and mother convincing I went. We went to see this movie. It was us 3 and a couple in the theater. About 1/2 hour into it, the other couple was gone. Before the first hour was up, me and my twin friends also left. It was that boring a movie to us at the time.
I’ll admit to having never watched the movie since (I was 17 at the time)...but don’t know if I ever want to. I mean seriously...literally cleared the theater. LOL!

I really REALLY wish you had the review of Barfly. they had a MAJOR disagreement on that one.

Gene and Roger each choose movies that they liked, but the other didn’t. Gene’s choices were Q, Table for Five, and Looking to Get Out....
