An exquisite time capsule from 1988. Looking closely at the episode, it’s funny to see how each film brings out the best in both Roger & Gene. From Ebert’s acerbic "Thank you, and that’s my prescription" to Siskel’s eloquence when unravelling the Lennon biopic. Moreover, it’s an episode of discovery - with "Salaam Bombay!" showing all the traits of a hidden, worldly gem. With beautifully unabashed 80’s commercials and appearances by James Cann and Gary Oldman thrown into the mix, I think it’s safe to say this now one of the finest uploads on this already great website.

Has the website been running quite slow for some people recently or is it just me?

No, I’ve had the same experience. Hopefully it’s fixed soon.

Essentially, what Ebert wanted from Alien Nation was District 9.

It was running slow for me for weeks, but seems to be running just fine now. I really hope the site isn’t going anywhere (as the rumors were told); I love this place. Still holding out hope for the shows that feature Higher Learning, The Blue Iguana, Double Dragon, and The Secret of My Success.

In any case, I’ve downloaded every upload from this site, so I basically have an archive, if it ever disappears, I’ll try to upload them somewhere.

My friend sent me this video, though I don’t know were he found it. I believe it was YouTube, but I don’t have the link. In any case, this doesn’t seem to be on the website...
